She has been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years and has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 16. Her background includes oncology, home health and home infusions, long-term care, and end-of-life care. She has also served as a Nurse Educator, Infection Control Nurse, and Administrator of an Assisted Living Facility.
Her passion has always been to genuinely care for people. She has a true servant’s heart, and genuinely loves taking care of others!

Dr. Smith was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She then moved to Greenville, NC where she attended East Carolina University and earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She continued her education earning a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from East Carolina University with a concentration in Family Practice.
She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She practices full time in cardiology.
